Empties #5

Hey all!

It's time for another empties post. Here's the stuff I used up over the last couple of months.

Dove Intensive repair shampoo x2 - This is a really good budget shampoo in my opinion. I like this one best of the Dove range.
Dove Daily moisture shampoo - Was ok, but not as good as the Intensive repair.
L'oréal Eye & Lip eye make-up remover - This is one you have to shake before you use it, works great on all make-up even waterproof as it says on the bottle. I use this to take of my foundation as well. Already have a back up.

The Body Shop Passion fruit shower gel - I love The Body Shop shower gels, they are the best ones and this one smells sooo good. To bad they don't sell it anymore. Have a back up though and would repurchase if they'd bring it back.
The Body Shop Early harvest raspberry shower gel - Well, the same goes for this one. I absolutely love it! Such a shame it was just limited edition.
Rexona deodorant - Best range of deodorants I've tried.
Origins GinZing moisturiser - This smells of oranges! Soo good! I liked the cream too, it's very light and was perfect during the summer. Will repurchase at some point.
ELF Makeup mist & set - The best setting spray I've tried. The only thing is it doesn't spray very even, but it's not too bad.

Nicki Minaj Onika Edp - Oh yes, this is one of my all time favourite fragrances. It smells sooo good!! I can't really describe the scent other than it's amazing. You have to try it!!!
H&M Lime Coconut body splash - I used this as a room spray and for that it worked just fine.
Yves Saint Laurent Forever youth liberator eye cream - I got this as a free sample when I ordered something else, and it was good. Not sure I'd buy again because of the price tag...
Calvin Klein CK one EdT - This one I also used as a room spray because it's too much citrus notes in it for me to wear as a perfume.
Isadora Anti-Shine mattifying powder - I've used this for years and it's good and maybe I'll get it again but for now I use a powder from Rimmel.

Have you tried any of these products? Thoughts and opinions anyone?

Review - Amika shampoo and mask

Hey all!

I posted a haul of Amika products many months ago now and I realised I never wrote a review of any of the products I got. So I thought maybe I should do that today. :)
Just to let you know, my hair is typical scandinavian, straight, thin and flat with zero volume.

Here we go...

Amika Triple Rx Shampoo - I got this hoping it would help with my dry and itchy scalp. Maybe it got a little bit better, at least it didn't get worse. This shampoo is sulphate free and that's supposed to be a good thing right? Well not for me I'm afraid. I've tried a few sulphate free shampoos and I can never get my hair clean when I use them. I'm always left with oily and greasy roots and that's not what I want when I wash my hair. I got the same result with the Amika Rx. The weird thing is the ends of my hair got so so dry and it was super difficult to brush it even after using the mask. And the shampoo is supposed to be best for "dry and damaged hair".. I used up half the bottle before I gave up. Wont repurchase. 1/5

Amika Nourishing Mask - This is a good one! Not paired with the Amika Rx shampoo though, for my hair these two weren't a good combination. But when I use the mask after any other shampoo it is amazing. Thick and creamy and it's no problem brushing even wet hair, the brush glides easy peasy through my hair. I love it and would recommend it to everyone! 5/5
