Beauty Favourites 2017

Hi guys!

It's time for beauty favourites 2017.

Let's start with skincare...

REN Clarimatte clarifying toner - This is amazing! Sadly I've used up mine and it's not easy to find where I live.
Bliss Micro Magic - This is the best scrub I've ever tried. I think it's discontinued though, because I haven't seen it in store for a long time.
Clinique Moisture surge moisturising supercharged concentrate - Amazing lightweight moisturiser. I use this alone or together with the "normal" moisture surge cream.
Clinique All about eyes - The best eye cream! This or the rich version.
GlamGlow Supermud - The best mud mask! Maybe the best mask of all...

Next is fragrance...

Juicy Couture "Viva la Juicy Sucré" - Oh how I love this scent! It's sweet and warm at the same time. And it's not over powering. It's a cupcake in a bottle!
Yves Saint Laurent "Black Opium Floral Shock" - This was love at first sniff! This fragrance is a bit stronger but it's also sweet and warm, but it has a better sillage.

Let's do makeup...

Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation - I use Fresco and Pebble and I usually mix them togheter to get the perfect shade. This foundation is the only one that stays on all day on me.
Tikei Mineral Primer - This is my setting powder. It's amazing! It blurres the pores and mattifyes the shine. And it's not very expensive either.

And finally eye makeup...

Fleur de Force eyeshadows - I think this is in "Cosmic bronze". I love the shades as they are perfect for everyday use but you can also smoke it up if you want to.
H&M Eye pencil in Panther - When this sets it sets for real. It even stays put in the waterline on me and no other eye pencil has ever done that. So I highly recommend these.
Depend Triangular Eyebrow pencil in Taupe - I've only used this and the Anastasia Brow wiz this year and both are excellent. The Depend pencil is a little bit more creamy in consistency but it stays on all day without smudging!
Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara - The best mascara I've tried this year and ever, I think.

What are your beauty favourites this year?

Happy New Year - see you in 2018!

Empty products #10

Hey guys!

It's almost the end of the year and I thought I'd empty my beauty trash and share it with you all.
Some of these I've had before and if I've written about them before I'm going to just mention if I like the product or not. Here we go...

Let's start with hair and body!

Redken Extreme shampoo x2 - Great! Lovely scent!
Sunsilk Smooth & Shiny conditioner - Ok budget buy.
The Body Shop Olive shower gel - Massive bottle and I loved this!
Rexona biorythm deodorant - The best!
Make Up Store Twenty Forever body butter - Love love love this! Creamy formula but not too greasy. The scent is heavenly! I have back ups of this, but sadly it's discontinued.
The Body Shop Strawberry body butter - Love this! A bit thicker in consistensy but not too much, lovely scent too!
The Body Shop Strawberry shower gel - Lovely! I love their shower gels and the strawberry scent is awesome.

Next, skincare...

Shiseido Bio-performance eye cream - Ok, but too expensive for what it does. This was just a sample.
Biotherm Aquasource gel cream - Very light cream, I liked this for my oily skin.
KICKS Vitamin C Peeling pads - They were ok, but I didn't see any major difference in my skin after using these. Nice fresh scent.
REN Clarimatte Clarifying toner - I love this toner! Sadly it's very expensive and also very difficult to get hold of. But I will hunt it down at some piont.
BASIDERM Oil Control Daily moisturizer - It wasn't bad but I thought this was too much for my oily skin. My skin was greasy everytime I used this, but I did use it up.
Yves Rocher Eye cream - Lightweight cream. I liked it and it was great under makeup. Have repurchased it.
Dermalogica Clear Start Emergency Spot Fix - Ok product, but don't think I'll buy again.

And lastly makeup..

Lumene CC cream in Light & Medium - Ok everyday foundation. However it didn't last very long on my oily skin. If you have dry skin I'm pretty sure you'd like these.
Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara - This is amazing! I think it's the best mascara I've tried so far. It lenghtens and gives great volume and is very very black. It stays on all day without any smudging so I'd highly recommend it. Washes of pretty easily with warm water too.
Depend Nail polish remover - The best! Not a fan of the smell though, but it gets even glitter polish off so yeah, great product!
Essie Good To Go top coat - Great!!
Tikei Mineral Primer - Amazing!! I use this as my setting powder and it's the best I've tried. It blurres pores and keeps shine away. Maybe not ALL day long, but almost. Already started a new one and just got another backup.
Loreal Dream Lumi touch - concealer/highlighter that was ok but no favourite.
Anastasia Brow wiz - Loved this! Thin brow pencil that stays on all day. It's expensive but great. All writing has rubbed off so have no idea what shade this was.

That's all folks! What have you used up lately?

Recent purchases / New in beauty

Hey guys!

Today I thought I'd share a few new things I've bought the last few weeks (months on a couple)

TiKei Mineral primer - Repurchase. I use this as my setting powder and it's great!
H&M Colour Essence eye pencil "Into the blue" - I wanted a dark blue pencil and I love the formula of the H&M ones. Stays put all day even in the waterline.
Juicy Couture "Viva la juicy Glacé" - The cutest bottle ever! And the scent is lovely and sweet too.
Isadora Light & Shade eye shadow "Khaki blues" - I haven't really used this yet, but Isadora shadows are usually pretty good.
Juicy Couture "Viva la juicy Fleur" - I bought this during a 50% off sale a few months back and I really like it. It's a fresh floral scent.
Real Techniques "Blush brush" - The brush with this print I think was limited with the book or DVD Pixiwoo released a while back. This one was sold seperately though.
Kicks Dip Brow "Dark Blonde" - Haven't tried this one yet.
Juicy Couture "Viva la juicy Sucré" - I LOVE this scent. Sweet and vanilla cupcake, can't go wrong.
Clinique "Moisture surge" - I've only tried a sample of this and liked it a lot. Using up something else before I start this.
Clinique "Moisture surge hydrating supercharge concentrate" - Just got this and haven't tried it yet.
The Body Shop "Banana conditioner" - Heard a lot of good things about this. Haven't tried it yet, using up something else first.

Have you tried any of these products?

Summer / August favourites

Hi guys!

I know I haven't done a favourites post before but I thought today I would share what I've been loving thruough August, and for most of the summer really.

Mostly makeup but also a few skincare items and a perfume. This is my thoughts...

Juicy Couture "Viva La Juicy Sucré" - This is such a sweet and cosy scent. It's soft but I think it stays on for several hours on me. I bought the 100 ml bottle, that's how much I love it.

REN "Clarifying toner" - I had used this before and stopped for some reason, probably because I was trying something else. But recently I've had some issues with breakouts and I started using this again and though it's not solved the issue completely it's definitely looking better. I'm thinking my skin likes the acids in this..

Clinique "Take the day off balm" - I was curious to try this as I've heard Caroline Hirons talking about it (before she released her own balm cleanser) and it's really good. Takes off all of my makeup, except for my mascara weirdly enough. But I don't mind using something else for that.

Tikei "Mineral Primer" - I rediscovered this in my stash when I needed a good powder during this summer. It's really porefilling and keeps my foundation in place and looking matte. This is something I struggle with during summer as my skin is super oily. But this helped a lot!

Estee Lauder "Double Wear foundation in Fresco" - This is the best foundation I've ever tried. It stays in place all day and it's not heavy on the skin. I do get some shine come thru at the end of the day but at least it doesn't move. I think I might need a darker shade though, as this looks a bit too light sometimes.

Urban Decay "Eyeshadow Primer Potion" - I haven't tried a lot of eyelid primers but this really does hold your shadows in place. I don't feel the need to try something else as this is such a great product!

The Body Shop "Honey Bronzer in no 2" - Great bronzer, not too pigmented but gives just enough colour to your face.

Maybelline "Lash Sensational mascara" - This is brilliant. Gives my lashes a lot of volume, and some lenght too. This is the mascara the Clinique balm won't take off, but the majority of it washes easily off with just warm water..

Loreal "Brow Artist Plumper in brown" - If you just want to brush through your brows with a little tint this is great. Gives colour but not too much. I usually use a pencil as well as my brows are a bit sparse..

Depend "Eyebrow pencil in Taupe" - This is the perfect ashy shade for me. The formula is creamy but not too much, it stays on all day. Very easy to work with.

MAC "Dervish lip pencil" - The perfect "My lips but better" shade. Love it! It's quite a hard pencil so I usually wear some sort of balm or gloss on my lips and put this on top. Perfect!

Have you tried any of these products? Thoughts? What have been your favourites through summer?

Juicy Couture "Viva la Juicy Sucré" - Fragrance week!

Hey guys!
Last day of my Fragrance week posts today, and today is a fragrance I don't own yet, but hopefully I'll get it very soon. I do have a little sample of it though, and I absolutely love it. It's the new fragrance from Juicy Couture, Viva la Juicy Sucré.

(Picture borrowed from fragrantica.com)
The top notes are gardenia, mandarin oranges and red currant.
Middlenotes are orange blossom, jasmine, peach and almond cream.
Basenotes are whipped cream, vanilla, sandalwood and cacao.

I can smell the peach, vanilla and creamy notes on myself when I wear it. But I try to use the sample I have sparingly before I buy a bottle of the perfume so I have not worn this a lot, yet.

Have you tried it? Or do you perfer one of the other scents from Juicy Couture?

YSL "Black Opium Floral Shock" - Fragrance week!

Hey guys!

Today's fragrance is Yves Saint Laurent "Black Opium Floral Shock". This is one of my most recent purchases and it has quickly become a favourite. This one is good for both day and night, I think.

This is what fragrantica.com says about the scent.
The freshness of lemon, bergamot and pear in the top notes mixed with freesia is the first floral accord to the composition. The heart includes white flowers of golden gardenia, orange blossom and a solar floral accord. The base ends with iced coffee, white musk, mineral accord and woody amber.

To me this is not at all a floral fragrance, I can only smell creamy sweet notes when I wear it, sometimes with a hint of orange in the beginning. But the scent is absolutely gorgeous and I love it so so much. Someone said this is a limited edition fragrance, but I hope it's not. It deserves to be permanent and available forever!

Have you tried it? Do you like it or do you prefer one of the other scents in the Black Opium family?

Marie Serneholt "Signature 2" - Fragrance week!

Hey guys!

Today we continue Fragrance week with Marie Serneholt "Signature 2". You may remember her as one of the four of A-teens in the 90's. She's also a TV hostess these days, and also have her own fragrance line including two fragrances, bodycare and candles.

I'm not sure this fragrance is available world wide as I couldn't find anything about it on fragrantica.com. But it's sold in Sweden and according to kicks.se "Signature 2" is created with fresh floral notes with warm elements of fresh citrus and warm undernotes from cedar and vanilla.
Topnotes: lemon, orange, bergamot, blackcurrant, mint, basil and ylang-ylang.
Middlenotes: lily of the valley, freesia and jasmine.
Basenotes: cedarwood, sandalwood, raspberry and vanilla.

This is a very floral scent, and I never thought I really liked overly floral fragrances but this one is absolutely heavenly. It's the perfect summer scent, warm and cosy.
I find it stays on pretty well on me, but it's not a very strong scent.

Have you tried it? Or have you tried the "Signature 1"?

Clean "Clean Skin" - Fragrance week!

Hey guys!

We continue Fragrance week today with Clean "Clean Skin".
"Skin" is actually the only Clean fragrance I can wear, all the other ones I've tried has given me a headache. I wonder why "Skin" works but not any of the others, is there any ingredient in the others that's not in "Skin"? 'Cause it can't just be the scents, as they vary a lot.

According to fragrantiva.com Clean Skin is a floral woody musk fragrance. They have no notes listed but the Swedish site kicks.se have.
Topnotes: honeydew, lotus flower, fresh airy accords.
Middle notes: dandelion flower petals, marine notes, blue rose.
Base notes: white musk, amber wood, creamy vanilla.

And again, I can't really smell a lot of these notes. It's absolutely fresh and airy, and the marine notes I totally get and maybe some light floral scent. But I smell no vanilla, woody scents or musk.
However, I absolutely love this scent and it stays on all day on me. I would highly recommend it!

Have you tried Skin? Or do you prefer another scent from Clean? If so, which one?

Burberry "BurberryBrit" - Fragrance week!

Hey guys!

Today I'm back with my third fragrance of the week, and this time it's the Burberry Brit EdT we're talking about.

According to fragrantica.com Burberry Brit EdT is a light interpretation of the timeless Burberry brit fragrance from 2003. (I haven't tried that one)
It opens with fresh notes of green almond, icy pear, lemon grass and italian lime.
The heart is composed of sugared almonds and lush peony, laid on the base of mahogany, amber and vanilla.

I'm not sure I can smell the citrus notes at all, To me this smells fresh, sweet and vanillary. It stays on all day on me even though it's a Eau de toilette, so that's good. And the bottle is cute and classy at the same time,

Have you tried this, or the original?

Ralph Lauren "Big Pony 2" - Fragrance week!

Hey guys!

Todays fragrance is Ralph Lauren "Big Pony 2".

According to fragrantica.com the composition of this edition is floral-fruity-oriental and provides a blend of cranberry and tonka bean.

Well, I'm not sure I agree completely. To me this smells sweet and fruity. Not oriental at all. However, I haven't had this one for long and haven't used it enough to give a proper review yet. I think this will be perfect for summer though and hopefully I'll get to wear it lots of times.

Have you tried this one? Or have you tried any of the ohter three in the Big Pony family?

New fragrance tomorrow, stay tuned!

Boss "Scent For Her" - Fragrance week!

Hey guys!

I thought I'd try to be a bit more active here and to start that of I was thinking to do a "Fragrance week" where I post about one perfume every day for a week. These are the scents I think I'm going to wear the most this summer. Starting today with Boss "The scent for her".

According to fragrantica.com Scent for her is a floral-fruity scent, it opens with juicy and velvety shades of peach combined with freesia blossom in the top notes. The heart is based on osmanthus, while drydown features roasted cocoa, which deepens the composition and provides a darker note and a characteristic gourmand twist.

I'm usually not very good at describing scents according to their notes, but I have to agree on this. It is a fruity-floral scent and it is very peachy. I say this is the perfect summer scent. It's light but not too light, it stays on all day on me. And as someone who's very sensitive to certain fragrances, a lot of them gives me headaches, this one does not irritate me at all. I would highly recommend it!

Have you tried it? Do you like it or not? Any scents like this you would recommend?

Stay tuned, the second scent will be up tomorrow!

Empty products #9

Hey guys!
I know I've been a bad blogger for a while, but today I'm back with another empties post. A lot of these products I've written about before and I'm just going to write if I like those products or not, not write a review.

Redken Extreme shampoo - love it!
Redken Extreme coditioner - love it!
Garnier Respons shampoo - first time I tried it and it was a very nice budget buy.
Paul Brown Hawaii deep conditioner - very thick consistency, I liked it.
Garnier fructis shampoo - surprisingly good. I had only tried the green version before and did not like it. But this red one was nice.
Amika Perk it up dry shampoo - strong scent but it did what it should. Not the best dry shampoo I've used though.

Glam glow supercleanse mud to foam - Oh I loved this! Great cleanser and nice scent too.
Clinique liquid facial soap - good one. Did take off eye make up very effectively without stinging my eyes.
Dermalogica special cleansing gel - I didn't like this very much. I used it up as a make up brush cleanser and for that it did great.
Emma S ageless enzyme peel - love love love this. <3
Clinique all about eyes rich eyecream - very very good! Highly recommend!
Clinique smart day cream - very nice product. Worked good for my combination skin.
Elemis PRO-radiance illuminating flash balm - I used it as a face cream and it worked just fine.
Clinique 7 day scrub cream - ok daily face scrub/wash.
The body shop grapefruit hand cream - I liked it. Nice scent.
Rexona aloe vera deodorant - I like it!

Cristiano Ronaldo Legacy EdP - Amazing!!! I love the scent, it's so so good! You have to try it if you haven't already. Highly recommend!
Nicki Minaj Onika EdP - very nice scent. Sadly I've used it a little too much so it's not a favourite anymore, but I'd still recommend it.
Isadora Grand volume lash styler - I liked the mascara but I found that the wand is to big for my liking.
Dior diorshow iconic mascara - It was ok, not a favourite though. I think the formula was a little too dry.
Isadora eye shadow fix - I like this but it's not as good as the Urban Decay primer potion. But a good budget buy.
ELF makeup mist & set - love it!
Oh my gloss "snog" lipgloss - I liked it. But it did go bad very quickly.
H&M lipgloss - I liked the colour. I've had it for a long time and it had gone bad as well.

What have you used up lately? Any products you would recommend? Please tell me! :)

Empty products #8

Hey guys!
Long time no see. Again! Thought I'd start over with empty products as I've had these photos waiting since last year. I know.. I'm quick! ;)

And then as usual a mini review..

Redken Extreme - I love this shampoo and never want to be without it. It's creamy and smells heavenly.
Apotek <3 - Shampoo for dry scalp. I liked this.
Amika Nourishing mask - Great great product.

LdB shower cream - Lovely one, smelled really nice.
Grace Cole shower gel - A good shower product.
Victoria's secret - Pure Seduction body lotion. Lovely cream and scent.
Bliss - Grapefruit + aloe body butter. I love this! It's very creamy for beeing a body butter, but I like that. Smells great too!

Origins Ginzing Refreshing scrub cleanser - Amazing! Love the peeling effect and the scent is perfect!
Bliss Fabulous foaming face wash - Great product. Smells nice too.
Loreal Eye & Lip makeup remover - Takes of all makeup, even waterproof.
Bliss micro magic - I love everything about this! The scrub is perfect, the scent is amazing. Sadly I think it's been discontinued 'cause I haven't seen it in store for a long time.

JorgObé white tea balancing cream - This was ok but I didn't love it. It's supposed to be good for oily skin but it was to rich for my skin.
Dermalogica eye cream - This was good! I got this in a kit. If it wasn't so expensive I might repurchase.
Estee Lauder Revitalizing supreme eye cream - I liked this one too. But again.. it's very expensive.
Estee Lauder Sumptuous mascara - I really like this. Gives both volume and a bit of lenght.
Dermalogica multi active toner - Ok but nothing special for me.
Urban Decay de-slick makeup setting spray - Ok, but didn't make my makeup last longer than normal. At least I didn't notice any difference.
Britney Spears Fantasy - I love this scent. But I don't think this was the best bottle I've had of it. It didn't last at all on me, and it usually stays on all day long. Have a new one now and it's perfect. So something wasn't right with this one.

What have you used up lately?
